Day 18 The Gratitude Challenge

Local Farmers markets where I bought fresh beetroot, kale, spinach, watercress, silverbeet, bananas, passionfruit and more

Day 18 of the Gratitude Challenge: Today I am doing yesterday’s being grateful for food challenge. I love my fruit and vegetables and this morning for breakfast I made buckwheat pancakes with strawberries, raspberries passionfruit  and homemade coconut yogurt

My 5 blessings for today are:

  1. I am grateful for the local farmers markets every Sunday because I love that I can buy fresh food that was often picked the day before
  2. I am truly grateful for fresh strawberries we bought today because I love strawberries the taste the aroma as I cut a fresh strawberry and they are good for me :) Fruit is one of my favorite food which I am enjoying today
  3. I am very grateful today for the alkaline diet I am following because it has been a big part of the healing of my kidneys and now is playing a large part in rebuilding and regrowing my bones
  4. I feel so blessed that I love to cook because it allows me to be creative and make yummy healthy food like this mornings breakfast Buckwheat-pancakes
  5. I am so grateful for being given the keffir that started me making alkaline coconut yoghurt because besides being healthy it is yummy

Gratitude Allows Wellness To Flow

  1. I am grateful that I understand the power of positive thinking because it has helped me to heal much faster than if I had just focused on my illness
  2. I am truly grateful for all the wonderful support I receive daily from trusting my intuition
  3. I am very grateful today as I have woken up with no back pain and this makes me feel free
  4. I feel so blessed that we have acar as we are about to drive to the beach and walk barefoot on the beach
  5. I am so grateful for my new pillow as it helps me sleep soundly

Day 14- The Gratitude Challenge

My 5 blessings for today are:

  1. I am grateful that I have a TV  because I can watch the amazing athletes at the Olympics and take inspiration from them
  2. I am truly grateful for all the wonderful fresh strawberries I will have for breakfast as I love the aroma they have and the goodness they give to my body
  3. I am very grateful today for waking up early become  I started the day with a new painting so uplifting
  4. I feel so blessed I have a garden because I am now growing kale that gives me so much goodness for my body
  5. I am so grateful that today I will be spending time walking twice as this keeps my healthy and today i will spend time with a friend

Breathe And Allow The Gratitude To Flow

Day 13- The Gratitude Challenge

Day 13 of the Gratitude Challenge Nicole asks us to breathe: read more here  Breathing is an important part of my daily healing since i have learned that we get rid of 70% of the toxins in our body through breathing. After I do my gratitude exercise this morning I am going to do the Breathing exercise at my favorite place the beach.

My 5 blessings for today relate to my body:

  1. I am grateful that I have learned to e because it is helping my healing process and gives me energy
  2. I am truly grateful for sun shining this morning because I will get my daily dose of Vitamin D as well as have breakfast in the sun
  3. I am very grateful the free ebook : Dreams Really do become true from Jaimie Ridler because it has given me a great idea besides it is wonderful to read others dreams
  4. I feel so blessed that I have so many healing tools because each day I feel more empowered to heal myself and there is less pain
  5. I am so grateful that today I have woken up feeling love and joy in my heart knowing that  through just being me I was able to help a special person believe there is hope.

My 5 blessings for today relate to my body:

  1. I am grateful for my feel because they give me so much pleasure as I walk barefoot on the beach such a feeling of freedom. (PS I only wear shoes when I go out or it is very cold-I just love being barefoot)
  2. I am truly grateful  for my fingers because they allow me to share my thoughts with the you as I write this and feel grateful.
  3. I am very grateful for the skin because that felt so smooth as I rubbed coconut oil on it this morning
  4. I feel so blessed that for my hands because they lovingly give me so much joy as I cut up food to cook such creativity
  5. I am so grateful to eyes as they allow me to watch the gentle movement of the palm tree I can see out my window.

FebFast:Making a Difference

February 1st I am grateful for…..

Febfast Yesterday I decided to make a difference to my body and at the same time support a great charity fundraiser.

I read a post by Sarah Wilson yesterday: Sunday life: in which i give up booze for February . I had read about Febfast from Max Allen a wine writer in the  Weekend Australian Magazine last week and thought that would be a great thing to do.

When I read Sarah’s post and she said join the winning team I thought, that sounds like me :)

This is a great cause and I decided a great challenge for me as I love a glass of red or two.
I thought as well as helping the foundation I could help myself. It is a healthy choice and my picture is that on Feb 28th 2010, my body will get a detox, lose some kilos and have a slimmer waist. As Sarah says” I told them they’d lose their liver bulges (alcohol deposits a tube of fat just under our ribs and jaw lines), that a glass of wine has the same caloric content as a sausage roll….:”

So here I am  on Day 1 and I am looking forward to losing a few kilos, won’t be till the weekend rolls along that I will probably be craving a glass of red.

FebFast, the original fundraiser of its kind in Australia, is now in its third year. Our annual education, awareness and fundraising campaign invites people to participate in a booze-free February, and at the same time raise funds to support organisations working in research, prevention and service delivery concerning the use of alcohol and other drugs by young people. This year’s proceeds from registration payments and fundraising go towards the Australian Drug Foundation, Mater Health Services – Adolescent Drug and Acohol Withdrawal Service (Qld), Ted Noffs Foundation (NSW & ACT), Youth Substance Abuse Service (Vic) and FebFast’s grants program for smaller grass-roots organisations.

What Am I Grateful For Today? #126

Today I am so happy and grateful for:

  • My desire to explore new walks- getting out of the pattern of taking the same path:) Striking the balance also it can be a pattern interrupt.
  • that my ideal wellness plan gives me reason to celebrate.
  • the simplicity of the T 5T (5 Tibetans) daily exercises that center me as well as strengthen my body.
  • the support of my other 90 day challengers
  • skype as I spent happy time talking with 2 friends in USA. Each day I make happy connections
  • the wonderful flavors and colors of my fruit for breakfast, everything fresh from the Farmers Markets

What Am I Grateful For Today? #92

Today I am grateful  for

  1. getting fitter, I was less puffed as I climed the hill on our morning walk
  2. my brother and sister in law visiting- we haven’t seen one another for 5 years and it was like it was yesterday
  3. that having people visit is a great time to really appreciate where you live as you do tourist things
  4. revisiting our childhood holidays here at Coolangatta with my brother as we visited where we had stayed many years ago as teenagers.
  5. writing a new blog post at Abundance Highway that just flowed
  6. google as just found a great drive to take today to show the beauty of the Tweed Valley
  7. The magic of the moon and the light at sunset
